Movement rates for combat have been calculated as approximately one fifth of the creatures top sprinting speed in hexes per round or kilometres per hour. In some cases movement rates do not correspond to one third of CoOrdination. Strike chances have usually been calculated assuming that the creatures natural weapons have an accuracy of zero and the creature has an expert level (75%) skill in their use. The default modes of attack for each creature have been described. The GM should feel free to use other combat actions than those described if they think it appropriate, and calculate strike chances for those actions from the stats given. The listed statistics are for an adult creature near the top end of the size range for the species. Statistics for juvenile creatures should be calculated by multiplying the listed numbers by a fraction (e.g. one quarter) and adjusting the target size and damage modifiers. Juvenile creatures should have a much reduced weapon skill percentage.
The hit location table (2.5.1) requires some adaptation for non-humanoid creatures. Each arm, leg, tail, wing or long neck should be treated as a limb, with the normal modifier for an aimed attack on an arm or leg. For random hit location, roll 1d6 as normal or 1d10 if the number of limbs requires it. A result of 1 or 2 indicates a head or torso location as normal. The GM should allocate limbs to correspond to other possible results. Results higher than the total number of locations should be ignored and re-rolled. For example, a brontosaurus could be treated as shown below;
